Bio
Alison Mary Kay lives and paints in rural Lindsborg, Kansas. Born in London England, she has lived in the USA for 30 years. Kay received a BA Honors in Fine Art from Bath Academy of Art UK, an MA from Goldsmiths College, London University, England, and a MFA in Painting from Yale University. In 2014 Kay was selected as one of three artists to represent Kansas for the exhibition State of the Art: Discovering American Art Now, at Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, Bentonville AR.

She has shown her work most recently in a touring show of State of the Art: Discovering American Art Now, where the destinations were: the Mint Museum, Charlotte NC; the Dixon Gallery and Garden, Memphis TN, and the Jepson Center Telfair Museums, Savannah GA. In early 2018 she will have works exhibited in Big Botany at the Spencer Museum, Kansas University, Lawrence KS and Mark Arts Center, Wichita KS.

Kay is presently working on a commissioned painting for the new medical education building, Kansas University School of Medicine in Salina KS. It will be installed in June 2018.
